Cadman; Kahlil Gibran School Day of Service
Special thanks to the Kahlil Gibran high school students & teachers for spending their Day of Service on the morning of March 22nd with the Conservancy in Cadman Plaza Park. The students raked, weeded, composted and planted around the Brooklyn War Memorial. Our weekly, Wednesday morning volunteer gardeners pruned the rose bushes. Thank you to The Service Collective for bringing the Kahlil Gibran School to Cadman! We appreciate your help!

Cadman: Daffodils
The Daffodils are blooming in Cadman! Our early bloomers are the very first signs of spring and a living memorial, remembrance & tribute to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.
Thank you to the many volunteers for your participation. The Conservancy appreciates you. Special thanks to New Yorkers for Parks and The Daffodil Project for their ongoing support.

Pep Officers helping to enforce negligent dog owners from allowing their pets on the AstroTurf field. The Parks Department recently added signage on all planters around the AstroTurf field: NO PETS ON TURF
The Cadman Park Conservancy, many community members and organizations including the BHA have been long time advocates for field replacement. A special thank you to Councilmember Lincoln Restler’s Office for funding this well used community resource. The AstroTurf field is the only area in Cadman Plaza Park where dogs are prohibited.
