AstroTurf replacement began!

If you've spent any time in Cadman Plaza Park, you are aware of the capital projects taking place. The north end of Cadman is coming along and last week the AstroTurf replacement began (i'll send you a photo) and is expected to take the next two or three months for completion. In the meantime, the Conservancy is focused on nurturing all of the garden and planted areas surrounding these construction sites.  We hope that you will join the Conservancy with one or all of our compost and planting events this fall, and/or create your own gardening circle with family or friends.  The Conservancy and NYC Parks Anil Chandrakumar will provide support to individual groups to help with the caretaking of Cadman Plaza Park, Walt Whitman park and the Korean War Memorial.
