Veterans Day ceremony at Brooklyn War Memorial honors local heroes

In a stirring ceremony, the 6th Communication Battalion U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard out of Floyd Bennett Field presented the Colors during the annual Veterans Day wreath laying ceremony in Cadman Plaza Park in Downtown Brooklyn.

On Veterans Day 2021, the Cadman Park Conservancy was joined by Assembly Member Jo Ann Simon, Council member Stephen Levin, Councilmember -elect Lincoln Restler and Color Guard detail from Service Company, 6th Communications Battalion Floyd Bennett Field, thanks to First Sergeant Machado and his Marines.

Our guest speakers were Glomani Bravo-Lopez, Veteran who has honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years and for our tribute in commemoration of Noted WWII Veteran Norman Wasserman who passed away on September 4th at 96 years young, his beloved wife Tatyana Wasserman spoke dearly of Norman.
