The Cadman Park Conservancy hosted our first Mulchfest event this past Sunday morning of the season.

Adding mulch to a bed of pink tulips

Thank you to all of our volunteers for a memorable successful event!  We nurtured our flowerbeds with mulch in our Juneteenth Grove and Circle gardens.
The Conservancy wants to give a VERY special shout out, with appreciation to ST Francis College for your continuous commitment to volunteering in Cadman Plaza Park!
The daffodils and tulips we planted in the fall are in full bloom.  Thank you to New Yorker 4 Parks and the Daffodil Project.  The daffodil flowers are a living memorial of the victims of 9/11 and Covid-19.
Deep gratitude to our own Toba Potosky for generating & initiating Superb Sunday and to the generosity of donors and volunteers for making this an extraordinary contribution to our park.
Special thanks and deep gratitude to CPC board member Serhiy Mshanetskiy for your continued leadership, knowledge and dedicated hard work.  We couldn’t have done this without you!  If you’ve attended any of our gardening events you’ve met Serhiy!  He and his professional guarding team are also responsible for safeguarded our bulbs with protective fencing.  We’ll be having another again Mulchfest soon!!
