Just enough time for a quick recap of today’s Cadman Park Clean up*. Ronni and I counted over 40 volunteers. In addition to our local group of regulars (which included a good amount of parents and kids) We had a bunch of joggers and passersby stop and lend a hand – I felt like Tom Sawyer and the white wash picket fence. We were so lucky to be joined by volunteers from EHS, St. Francis College and Partnership for Parks. I will post pix later this week.
The superstar of the day was Jerry O’Driscoll who took on the challenge of clearing the leaves from the circular garden all by himself. It was slow and tedious work and by the time he was done the place looked beautiful.
There are so many people that contributed to today’s success: First and foremost all the volunteers, Tannise Palmer NYC Parks, Mike Shuster NYC Parks, Emily Sherrod Partnership for Parks, and our outstanding Master Gardener Serhiy Mshanetshiy.
Thanks to everyone – We’ll see you on Sunday Nov 8th 10 am. We have 3000 daffodils to plant. So Awesome.
